Dr. Carlos Arturo Hinojosa Becerril was born on May 13, 1975, in Temoaya, State of Mexico. He is a distinguished surgeon who graduated as a Medical Surgeon with honors from the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico.
Dr. Hinojosa's career includes numerous significant positions and memberships in leading medical associations. He has served as Secretary of the Committee in charge of monitoring the use of resources for research, Honorary Interconsulting Physician at the National Institute of Cardiology 'Ignacio Chávez' in Mexico City, and as Deputy Director of Clinical Research as well as a Physician attached to the Surgery Directorate at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán.
In the field of scientific research, he has been part of the National System of Researchers (CONACYT) since 2004, advancing from Candidate to Level I National Researcher. Dr. Hinojosa is also a member of the Institutional System of Researchers in Medical Sciences of the Ministry of Health.
He is an Active Member of the Mexican Association of General Surgery; Mexican Society of Angiology and Vascular Surgery; ABC Medical Center Medical Association; an Associate Member of the Canadian Society for Vascular Surgery; and a Member of the Society for Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Hinojosa has obtained several specializations, including a General Surgery residency at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán, a Vascular Surgery residency at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, and a Master's degree in Clinical Epidemiology at McMaster University.
Currently, he holds the position of head of CCINSHAE, has published over 120 articles and abstracts, authored 6 book chapters, and has participated in more than 150 national and international congresses. Additionally, he is an accredited professor and thesis advisor for Master's programs at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
